Context & Problem
Store managers at Ametller Origen manually track food expiration dates across multiple product categories. This process is time-consuming, prone to errors, and often results in avoidable food waste. The challenge was to design a professional, tablet-based tool that would help the store manager instantly identify critical stock and take immediate action through AI-driven suggestions.

Design Solution
I designed a three-page tablet dashboard that allows store managers to quickly move from identifying critical products to taking action. The interface prioritizes clarity, speed, and decision-making, helping users focus only on what requires immediate attention.

AI-driven actions
The system suggests proactive actions, such as applying discounts before products expire, supporting faster and more informed decisions.
On-the-go usability
Designed for tablet use in portrait mode, the interface supports quick interactions while walking through store aisles.

Design Strategy
The design strategy focuses on clarity, speed, and operational efficiency within a professional retail environment. The interface adopts a soft-minimal visual language with organic shapes and high corner smoothing to reflect Ametller Origen’s Bio & Organic identity, while maintaining a clean and functional layout for daily use. To reinforce this coherence, the icon set was custom-designed, using organic forms aligned with the brand’s tone and avoiding the rigidity of standard system icons. Information is organized through a clear visual hierarchy, with stacked content designed to fit complex inventory data on a vertical tablet screen without overwhelming the user. The overall goal is to reduce cognitive load and enable faster decision-making, allowing store managers to move seamlessly from monitoring stock to taking action.
